What information is collected

When you use the contact form, the site receives the name, email address, subject and message you provide. If you join the launch list, the site receives your name and email address. The hosting provider may also process technical server-log information such as IP address, time of access and requested pages for security and operation of the website.

Why the information is used

Contact-form information is used to read and respond to your enquiry. Launch-list information is used to send information about the publication of Who Am I? — The Philosophy of BE, related launch events and selected publication updates. Launch updates are sent on the basis of the consent you give when joining the list. You can withdraw that consent at any time by emailing Franklin.

How information is handled

Form submissions are sent by email to Franklin. Personal information is not sold. It is shared only where necessary for hosting, email delivery, security, or where required by law. The website is hosted by TransIP. At this stage the website does not use advertising trackers or behavioural profiling.

Retention

Enquiry correspondence is kept only as long as reasonably necessary to deal with the enquiry and any resulting relationship or legal/administrative need. Launch-list details are kept until you unsubscribe, the list is discontinued, or the information is no longer needed for the purpose for which you signed up.

Your rights

Subject to applicable data-protection law, you may ask for access to your personal data, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, or object to certain processing. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent. You may also lodge a complaint with the Dutch Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.

Cookies and external resources

The current website does not set analytics or advertising cookies. It loads typefaces from Google Fonts, which means your browser may connect to Google when those fonts are requested. If analytics, embedded social-media services or additional cookies are added later, this statement and any required consent mechanism will be updated.
